Pham Ba Long is an undergraduate student in the Department of Mechatronics at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and a member of the AiRA Laboratory.
His research focuses on vision-language-action foundation models for robotic control, with an emphasis on adapting policies to constrained robot platforms and improving deployment safety. He is currently working with the LeRobot framework to fine-tune generalist robot policies, including Pi0.5, for SO101-ARM manipulation tasks.
Long is also interested in verification and safety methods for learned robot policies, including Lyapunov-based approaches that connect foundation model outputs with control-theoretic stability guarantees.
